The Spa Hotel Wedding Photography

Wow, what a wedding Zoe and Jamie’s was!  It was a rollercoaster of emotion filled with fun and music and 126 of their family and friends!

The Dream Team

Their wedding was held at one of my favourite venues, The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. To top it all I got to work with my favourite group of wedding suppliers, videographer Carol from Cut Above Productions, Charlotte from The Floral Workshop and the team from Mint DJ’s.

The Bridal Party

Both bride and groom were getting ready at the hotel so it was easy for me to slip between the two of them to capture some getting ready shots.  Zoe was in the Churchill suite as she had 10 bridesmaids plus the two mums all having their hair and makeup done!

Jamie’s room was no less quiet as he had 2 best men and 6 grooms people!

A Beautiful Bride

Zoe headed up to the Bridal Suite with her mum and one bridesmaid to get into her beautiful Sottero and Midgeley gown from Wedding World Kent. The rest of the bridesmaids hadn’t seen her dress so a reveal for both her dad and the bridesmaids was planned.  Neither disappointed, dad was overwhelmed and the bridesmaids almost squealed with delight!

A Sunshine Filled Ceremony

The ceremony was held in the Temple in the beautiful grounds of the Spa Hotel.  The sun shone on Zoe as she came down the aisle with her dad and the couple took their vows.  The confetti shots immediately after the signing were some of my favourite of the year.

There was a lot of guests to greet and congratulate the couple but one very special one, their beautiful dog Luna who almost stole the show. She stuck around with her dog-sitter to have some photos with her mum and dad!

After the group photos, Carol and I took the couple off for some time to themselves and some photos/video in the gorgeous gardens of the hotel.  We came back for a portrait with Luna before they prepared to head into their wedding breakfast.

A Musical Entrance

Zoe and Jamie’s entrance into the dinner was one of the most fun I’ve ever experienced and made for some fantastic photos as well as video.

They entered into the rousing tune by Abba of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme which was duly sang by all of their guests while waving their napkins in the air!  You can see a snippet of Carols footage for their entrance on Instagram here.

Sunset in the Temple

After the wedding breakfast and their speeches, Zoe and Jamie took some time out for some evening photos in the grounds and Temple, which is a beautiful setting for sunset photos. If you’re lucky enough to get a sunset at The Spa, it can be beautiful as it sets in just the right place, over the lake in the grounds.

Dancing the Night Away

Once the cake had been cut the couple danced the night away to all their favourite tunes with their nearest and dearest.

An Amazing Review

What a magical day Zoe and Jamie’s was and I so loved being part of their very special day.

They wrote me a wonderful review which I’ve shared below.

“We cannot thank Penny enough! Penny was our wedding photographer on 2nd September at the Spa Hotel. In the run up to the wedding Penny was so helpful and conscientious – answering all of our questions and understanding what we wanted to capture on the day.

Penny made us feel so at ease and comfortable and went above and beyond all day!

She is a wealth of knowledge and experience and very familiar with the venue and other suppliers – which made life so much easier!

We are so pleased with our gallery – it has captured the day and told our story perfectly.

Thanks so much Penny and we would highly recommend her!!!”
