Hello, I’m Penny and I’m an experienced wedding photographer based in Kent.

I’m originally a Londoner but have lived in a village close to Tunbridge Wells since 2007. I’m mostly known for my love of animals (particularly cats), my HUGE selection of cookery books and my love of a good crime novel or drama.

I shot my first wedding in 2008 and have been a full-time wedding photographer now for over 10 years. I’ve shot hundreds of weddings during that time, both big and small and been to lots of different venues like barns, castles, stately homes, country houses, family gardens and many more.

STORY

…the simple version!

I started my photography journey in my early teens, photographing mainly landscapes and pets. I had intended to make a career in editorial photography but as life and opportunities often do, it took me in a completely different direction. I worked for a number of years as an HR professional in the City of London and in 2008 started to shoot a few weddings every year alongside my day job. In 2012 I decided it was time to take the plunge and do what I loved most, so I launched my full-time wedding photography business early that year. I added boudoir photography to my portfolio in 2016, and have never looked back.

Capturing a couple’s wedding day is a real privilege and such a joy to be part of. I truly believe in the value of beautiful images that tell the story of a moment in time and the people who shared it. A wedding is a day bursting with love and I’m so lucky to have this as my job.

Weddings

I always get swept up in the fun and emotion of a wedding day; it’s the thing I love most about what I do. I love to mingle and blend in with guests aiming to be more like a friend with a camera which I find tends to put people at ease. For me, being unobtrusive is much easier when people are used to you being around.

My photography style is natural and relaxed and above all I want my couples to feel that they can just be themselves and make the day unmistakably about them. I love to work with couples who are focused on enjoying every moment of the love and fun that their very special day brings.

Boudoir

I started shooting boudoir sessions in 2016 as a compliment to my wedding business and now many (but not all) of my clients are brides-to-be.

Boudoir photography is one of the most rewarding genres of photography I have ever shot. I love that a boudoir session can boost a woman’s confidence and self-esteem while helping them to see how beautiful they are. It’s incredibly rewarding for me when a client says that she didn’t believe she could look so good.
