It was a joy to be part of Becki and Jamie’s very special Hoath House wedding day. I loved that everyone was so happy and relaxed and intent on having a wonderful time, which of course they did!
Hoath House Wedding Venue
Hoath House is a unique Kent wedding venue with six acres of gardens and grounds and an extraordinary house with medieval heritage. The gardens make for a magical setting for a wedding ceremony and there’s plenty of accommodation for all of your nearest and dearest!
Becki and Jamie’s wedding ceremony and celebrations were spent in full at Hoath House where Becki got ready in the bridal suite with her mum and bridesmaids while Jamie was in Apple Bough Cottage in the grounds with his groomsmen.
A Perfect Summer Wedding Ceremony
The weather was incredibly hot and although the grass looked a little parched, the weather was perfect for everything Becki and Jamie had planned.
Becki had her two brothers walking her down the aisle and a favourite moment of mine from the day was the surprise on one of her brothers’ faces when he saw her coming down the stairs before the ceremony, it was so lovely and very touching.
The gazebo in the gardens of Hoath House was bedecked with gorgeous summer flowers which was a beautiful setting for the couple to exchange their vows. They did have to take a comical pause during the vows as a noisy aeroplane flew over at one of the key moments stopping them from hearing each other completely!
Crazy Golf and Garden Games
Once the formalities were over it was time for the party to begin. Drinks were served on the lawn and crazy golf kept the guests entertained. After the family group photos, I spent a little time with Becki and Jamie wandering through the Hoath House gardens and grounds for some lovely photos. It was nice for the couple to have some time to themselves before dinner and speeches and is something I always urge my couples to do.
There were a few sunset photos before they headed inside to cut their beautiful cake, with a ceremonial sword no less! After the couples’ first dance, the dancing then kicked off with great gusto and carried on well into the evening!
What a fabulously memorable day and I was so lucky to have the pleasure of enjoying it with them!
A Wonderful Review
I received a lovely card from Becki and Jamie after their wedding, they write…
“Dear Penny
