Allington Castle Wedding | Miranda and Mark
Miranda and Mark had a beautiful spring wedding at Allington Castle last year. This was my first time photographing a wedding at Allington and it is a stunning venue. I was only with the couple for a few hours on the day as they only had their ceremony and drinks reception at the Castle. They then had a small intimate dinner and evening reception planned separately for their families and close friends later in the day. What a beautiful day it was though, filled with love, daffodils and sunshine!
I joined Miranda shortly before the ceremony in a beautiful medieval room at Allington where she was getting ready with the girls. The ceremony was held in the grand setting of the Great Hall in Allington and was a magnificent location for a ceremony and for the photography! Afterwards we headed outside for confetti through the main entrance arch under the keep followed by some quiet time and couple shots in and around the grounds amongst the spring flowers.
There was a gorgeous afternoon tea in the Great Hall laid out on a large banqueting table. The centre piece of the tea was a beautiful naked cake stood upon a copper pot which the couple cut with a ceremonial sword! By 5pm the guests were starting to leave followed by the couple who headed off to their family dinner.
It was an amazing opportunity to shoot in such a gorgeous setting with a truly lovely couple. Congratulations Miranda and Mark!
