A Summer Penshurst Place Wedding

Country House Wedding, Kent Weddings, Tunbridge Wells Wedding

Tiffany and Stuart had booked me to photograph their original wedding in 2020 but as we know the world turned upside down and their big day was postponed to August of 2022.

Fast forward to their big day at the majestic Penshurst Place & Gardens.

Bridal Preparations

Tiffany chose to get ready at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells along with her 2 adult bridesmaids, a flower girl plus the two mums.  I was really pleased to be working alongside the lovely Sam from SJB Hair and Make-up and Carol from Cut Above Productions.

Tiffany moved to one of the Spa’s luxury suites to get into her beautiful dress from Rosa Clara.  She had liked the top of one dress and the bottom of another so it had been remade for her.  She looked stunning and a long veil completed the look.

A Grand Setting for a Wedding

The boys were waiting in the Inner Courtyard of Penshurst Place as guests began to arrive and there was plenty of laughter and prodding of the grooms nerves!  It was a beautiful summers day so they were able to have their ceremony outside and the bride emerged from the archway leading to the Barons Hall and into the sunlight.

Guests greeted the newly weds on the South Lawn before heading back to the Inner Courtyard for drinks.

Star Wars & An Auction

There was a Star Wars themed table plan along with Lego Star Wars figurines as table centres! The reason was to become apparent later in the day! After the wedding breakfast the Toastmaster held an impromptu auction for he Lego table centres in aid of a Parkinsons charity which was close to the couple heart. It was incredible how invested everyone was and they ended up raising nearly two thousand pounds!

The Reception

The couple had some relaxing time in the gardens for photos before the guests were called for dinner.  Speeches came before the wedding breakfast, from the two dads, the Bride then the Groom and finally the Best Man. All were fun and poignant.  Tiffany even had a picture of their two cats as part of her speech!

The evening moved to cake cutting and finally dancing with some enthusiastic guests which is always welcome.

It was a beautifull day at one of my favourite venues and I so enjoyed sharing it with Tiffany and Stuart.
