Scotney Castle Wedding Photos | Styled Winter Wedding Shoot
At the tail end of last year we had the pleasure of working on a styled wedding shoot at Scotney Castle in Kent. For those of you not familiar with Scotney, it’s a stunning National Trust owned property set in a beautiful wooded estate near to Lamberhurst in Kent and boasts a country house, romantic gardens and a 14th century moated castle. Scotney is opening their doors to weddings from 2013 and couples can now get married in one of the most romantic spots in the South East.
The shoot was a collaboration with the events organiser and the main aim was to capture some images in the castle itself for Scotneys marketing purposes. The bedroom in the castle is available for weddings if it is raining when the couple are not able to have the ceremony under the wisteria archway in the courtyard of the castle.
I had put together hair and make up by Anna Harlow and hired Chrisy’s dress from Bride of Tenterden for the day which was traditional style and looked beautiful on her. The couple were real troopers as the weather was extremely cold and the rooms in the castle were even colder strangely enough but they stuck with it and in between wrapped up warm in jackets and coats! We captured some lovely images of them both in the castle and the grounds surrounded by the beautiful autumn colours in the grounds of Scotney on the cold November day. Chrisy’s bouquet was put together by the very talented Lara from Darling and Wild Creative Florist and the flowers to dress the room from Katherine of Florist in the Forest.
Here’s some images from the day.
