Wedding at Sprivers Mansion | Ani and Patrick

Ani and Patrick’s beautiful Sprivers Mansion wedding was a true delight to be part of; it was such a relaxed, emotional and fun day – in other words the perfect wedding! It was a little sad as Ani’s mum wasn’t able to join her from Iran for the big day but one of the bridemaids did a fantastic job and had mum live on Skype for various bits of the day and most importantly the ceremony.
I was lucky to have extra help for part of Ani and Patricks day from my lovely friend and photographer Lisa Philpot who I will be working with more during 2017.
The Bridal Suite
I joined Ani in the huge Sprivers bridal suite where she was having her hair and make up done by Beauty Call and getting ready with her bridesmaids. I love this time of the day as the excitement and anticipation builds and creates some amazing moments to photograph. I also love capturing all of the important details such as the dress, jewellery and flowers and any sentimental items. Ani had a locket with pictures of her mum and dad added to her beautiful rose bouquet which was created by Lisa from Lily and Myrtle.
The bridesmaids wore different dresses but all in pretty shades of purple from light to very dark, they looked amazing. I love the idea of doing this and in fact I did it myself at my own wedding all those years ago! It took a while to lace Ani into her dress from Sposa Vienna, as it always does, but when she was done she christened it with a twirl! The light is so beautiful in the bridal suite and I was able to capture some bridal portraits before it was time to go; Ani looked stunning. Her first stop was the bottom of the staircase to meet her uncle who was giving her away and as she rounded the landing I grabbed one of my favourite shots of 2016.
The Ceremony
Patrick and the boys had got themselves ready locally at his mums house. They had arrived earlier and had some fun with Jim before greeting all of the arriving guests and then getting down to the serious stuff with the registrar. The ceremony was held in the Yellow Georgian Room with guests looking on from the lawn. Ani arrived through the garden gate led by her beautiful bridesmaids and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as she beamed all the way down the aisle to Patrick!
After the ceremony the couple were showered by confetti as they walked back through the aisle of their guests and headed for a well deserved drink!
The Reception and Evening
After a fine drizzle of rain in the early part of their reception the weather turned out lovely for their afternoon on the lawn. They had drinks and croquet which the bride enthusiastically took part in! After the big group shot we took some couple shots in the picturesque wildflower meadow before the couple were announced into their wedding breakfast.
The marquee was dressed beautifully with lots of pastel coloured paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling and pretty florals and lavender touches on the tables. Their desert table was the best that I have ever seen and created by the lovely Sally of Crumbs and Doilies who is a member of the family. They had four wedding cakes and a table full of the most appetising sweet treats you could think of. We were so happy that we got to taste some!
The speeches were very emotional and led to an evening full of enthusiastic dancing that you couldn’t fail to love. Here’s a few shots from their very happy day.
