Wedding at Penshurst Place | Rosie and Fraser
Where do I begin with Rosie and Frasers beautiful summer wedding at Penshurst Place. It was such a pleasure to photograph and spend the day with this gorgeous couple and their families in the glorious sunshine!
The Bride and Groom Getting Ready
When I arrived at Rosies sister house they were all calm, excited and looking very beautiful! It wasn’t long before the children and the bridesmaids were dressed and it was time for Rosie get into her beautiful Grace Loves Lace gown.
My second shooter for the day Darren Arthur joined Fraser and his boys, plus a few guests, at the Leicester Arms Hotel just across the road from the church in Penshurst. While they were having some casual boy shots done Rosie was getting ready to leave. We did a few family and bridesmaids pictures at the house before Rosie headed to the church in a vintage Aston Martin! As she left I managed to take one of my most favourite shots of 2018 of her walking to the car across the manicured lawn. The weather was perfect, the car was amazing and Rosie was absolutely stunning.
The Ceremony at St John the Baptist Church Penshurst
Penshurst Church and Penshurst Place are venues that I’ve worked at many times and every time I go back it’s like coming home. But even though I know the venues I love the way that every wedding is so different and individual. There is always something new to capture.
Family and friends looked on as Rosie and Fraser made their promises to each other in Penshurst Church. After the ‘I Do’s’, confetti was thrown and the couple headed off for a drive before joining their guests at Penshurst Place.
The Wedding Reception in the Barons Hall
The reception was held in the inner courtyard at Penshurst Place and while the guests enjoyed drinks and canapés I took the couple for some quiet time into the glorious gardens for some couple portraits. I brought them back in time to see the magnificent Barons Hall all set up for their wedding breakfast before the guests was called in. The tables looked beautiful and Katherine from Florist in the Forest had outdone herself with the pretty pastel floral arrangements. The cake, created by Shelleys Cakes was also a stunner and I loved the marble effect as it seemed to mirror and fit perfectly with its surroundings.
After their meal there were speeches and cake cutting and then the couples first dance. Then the serious dancing took off encouraged by DJ Neil of Odyssey
It was such a magical day and I’m so happy that Rosie and Fraser chose me to capture their beautiful wedding.
