Wadhurst Castle Wedding | Charlotte and James
It’s a real treat to work at a venue that I’ve never been to before and Charlotte and James’ wedding reception at Wadhurst Castle was a first for me.
My second shooter for the day Lisa met James at the St Mary the Virgin Church in Rolvenden while I headed to The George Hotel in Cranbrook where the girls where getting ready. Hair and make up were well underway when I arrived in the morning, make up being expertly applied by Laetitia Rix of Make Up Angel while Grace Nethercott of Grace Hairstylist and MUA was busy with beautiful hair creations. Charlotte had a lovely white and purple rise and calla lily bouquet from Mrs Florist in Tunbridge Wells and the boys had matching calla lily buttonholes.
The placement of the mirror in the room helped me to create one of my favourite black and white images of the year of Charlotte having her make up done.
The morning flew by in a flash as ait does and before too long we were all headed to the church with Charlotte looking amazing in her Sassy Holford wedding gown.
After a beautiful ceremony the guests headed off to Wadhurst Castle for the reception. I loved the little reception details that the couple had put together, the little silhouette on the top of the cake and the note cards for guests to add their marriage advice! The tall floral centre pieces looked stunning in the blue room.
I had some time with the couple in the gardens before they sat down for their wedding breakfast and speeches which was lovely as they had some time to catch up and take in the events of the day.
After the speeches the dancing took over along with some fun at the Selfie Mirror!
Here’s a peek at their beautiful day.
