Rye Harbour Engagement Photos | Louise and Steve
About Louise and Steve
We already knew Louise and Steve when they booked us to shoot their wedding at The Great Barn in Rolvenden in October and we were over the moon when they did! They had modelled for us a few years ago when we were updating our portfolio and we had kept in touch. They are such a lovely couple and great fun to spend time with and I know that their wedding will be fabulous!
The Shoot in Rye Harbour
Despite having photographed them before we wanted to make sure we did an engagement shoot with them in the same way we do with all of our couples. This after all would be an important part in the lead up to their wedding and we wanted them to have some beautiful images to mark this special time. We usually ask our couples to think of somewhere special that they like to go for their engagement shoot and Louise suggested her dad’s boat moored in Rye Harbour as a location. Jim found this very appealing and a bit exciting as he’s a bit mad about boats! There were no plans to take the boat out and so we didn’t worry about the tide times and arrived mid afternoon in the blazing sunshine at the end of July. We spent the afternoon on and around the boat and within the boatyard followed by a lovely stroll through the fields adjacent to the harbour to say hello to some gorgeous sheep!
I particularly like the tones of this shoot, the wood and warm oranges of the boat and then the striking blues and reds around the boatyard which match beautifully with Steve’s t-shirt!
