CHERISH YOUR MEMORIES
for you are mine, at last
why have AN ALBUM?
A wedding is a very special one-time event which we celebrate in the most amazing way; just think about the amount of planning that goes into creating your perfect wedding day. I honestly believe that the memories from that day deserve to be preserved in a way that shouts that this was the ‘best day of your life’!
Yes, wedding albums can be expensive but they are also an investment as your album in years to come will become a family heirloom. Your wedding photos are a snapshot in time; memories of a wonderful day which will be enjoyed by you and by many generations of your family to come. For me, printing special images becomes more and more important in this digital age when we all take for granted the ability to snap away and email and Facebook pictures every day. Photographs are so easy to take and they also very easy to lose, so why take that chance with your treasured wedding images.
I have chosen to work with two album companies, Queensberry of New Zealand and Folio Albums here in the UK. Both offer high end products that will last you a lifetime. Both companies offer digitally printed and matted albums in a variety of sizes and styles. I could describe the albums endlessly here but the only true way to know what you like is to see, touch and feel them. Needless to say, I have samples of albums from both companies for you to take a look at it!
a FINAL NOTE
I leave my final note to the lovely people at Queensberry, who posted a blog entitled ‘How Interesting Are Your Wedding Photos?’
How interesting are your wedding photos?
It depends how old they are.
If your wedding was a month ago you love them.
If your wedding was a year ago maybe you haven’t thought about them in a while.
If your wedding was twenty years ago you won’t have thought about them in years!
If your wedding was thirty years ago that hunk you married is someones grandad.
If your wedding was forty years ago, your grandkids are a bit impressed by the hunk that Grandad used to be……and how strangely people dressed back in the day.
After forty years those old pictures are as interesting as they were a month after the wedding.
This is their time, the reason they were made.
Good luck finding them on Grandmas Facebook page.
Good luck playing that DVD.
Good luck finding that thumb drive (it’s down the back of the couch you sold years ago – and anyway what’s a thumb drive?)
Thank goodness for the album. This is it’s time, the reason it was made.
Yes, we make albums, and this is why – so we really can remember forever.
