Pretty Pastel Wedding at Penshurst Place
Jemma and Ritchies wedding was my 7th and final wedding of the year at Penshurst Place, one of my favourite wedding photography venues. It was the perfect Kent wedding venue for their late summer wedding and was blessed with gorgeous weather.
I started my day at the Starborough Manor Guest House near Edenbridge where Jemma, her parents and the girls were getting ready. The hair and make up were in full swing when I arrived and everyone was in good spirits. I took some time to capture all of Jemma’s details including her gorgeous dress. Jemma looked amazing in her beautiful dress with vintage lace and traditional veil. The dress had a great cut that gave her the most perfect silhouette in all of my images of her.
St John The Baptist Church Penshurst
The ceremony was held in St John the Baptist Church which is within the grounds of Penshurst Place. I’ve photographed many weddings at this church and it’s incredibly pretty but also has the most wonderful atmosphere. My second shooter Claire was able to get some great shots of Ritchie and the boys in the church entrance before the ceremony as well as some lovely natural images of Jemma and Ritchie’s guests as they arrived.
Jemma arrived at the church with her dad in a gorgeous vintage silver Rolls Royce.
After a beautiful ceremony everybody headed back outside and I captured a lovely confetti moment before guests walked through the pathway from the church to Penshurst Place where the couple greeted them before they headed into the inner Courtyard.
The Bride and Groom in the Gardens
Once all guests had arrived and were enjoying a reception drink, I took the couple off with the videographer for some shots of the two of them in and around the beautiful Penshurst gardens. We got some lovely soft low light across the Italian Garden and some very pretty pictures of the two of them which were amongst my favourite images of the day.
The Wedding Reception
The wedding breakfast was held in Penshurst Place’s magnificent Barons Hall. The Hall was dressed exquisitely with white table linen and amazing flower arrangements with candles that were the beautiful creations of florist Katherine Craft of Florist in the Forest.
After a lovely meal and some very well received speeches the sun set and it was time for the evening celebrations which started with a romantic first dance. It wasn’t long before Jemma and Ritchie were joined on the dancefloor by their family and friends who were all definitely up for a party.
The image of everybody having fun on the dancefloor was my cue to take my leave. A gorgeous friendly wedding at a fantastic wedding venue. Once again shooting wedding photography at Penshurst Place produced a lovely wedding day and some wonderful images.
Congratulations to Jemma and Ritchie. I hope my images will allow you to relive your wedding day again and again for many years to come.
