Nettlestead Place Wedding Photos | Danielle and Marcus
I was absolutely thrilled and honoured when Danielle and Marcus asked us to photograph their big day. We had known the couple for a little while as Danielle often looks after my fur babies when we’re away from home. I knew well enough that neither one liked to be in front of the camera so it was really lovely to know that they felt comfortable with Jim and I to have us there to capture their day for them.
And what a lovely day it was; the weather the location, it was all perfect.
The morning was awash with fun and nerves and, of course, Angus the dog who looked very smart in his bow tie. In fact he nearly stole the show; it was a close run thing! I so loved Danielle’s Harry Potter leggings but they had to go in favour of her gorgeous wedding dress which caused more than one teary eye! We grabbed a few shots of the bride with Angus before leaving for Nettlestead and the ceremony.
Ceremony and Reception
They were married in a small intimate ceremony in the Undercroft at Nettlestead which is such a lovely cosy space. After the formal bit the couple headed into the gardens for confetti and a few minutes to themselves. There was drinks, group shots and a lovely relaxed meal before we spotted the setting sun and took them both off for a few more shots in the beautiful evening light.
It was such a pleasure to spend the day with them.
Here’s a snapshot of their day.
