Maldon Essex Engagement Photos | Emma and Dan
Towards the end of July we headed off to Goldhanger in Maldon Essex to meet with Emma and Dan for their engagement shoot and to take a look at their wedding venue Vaulty Manor.
We’d never been to this part of Essex before and it’s always a great pleasure to go somewhere new. Vaulty Manor is a lovely restored 17th century barn in a gorgeous location surrounded by lots of lovely countryside and farmland. It’s a beautiful venue and is going to be a amazing backdrop for their big day in August.
After seeing the venue we headed off a little further into the Maldon countryside and took a public path alongside the pub, (one to remember later!) which cut through the farmland and fields to an area of water called Goldhanger Creek which is part of the River Blackwater where the famous Maldon Sea Salt is harvested from. We were surrounded by the most gorgeous golden fields and endless peace and quiet which made it the most incredible spot for an engagement shoot.
Emma and Dan are such a lovely fun couple and it was a pleasure to spend a few hours getting to know them a little bit. It was a breezy but beautiful day and the sun kept dipping in and out of dark clouds which is always fun! The couple soon got used to us toting very large cameras and were very natural and relaxed together which is great. As always we had lots to chat about including catching up on the wedding plans as well as Dan’s plan to play at the wedding reception with his band. Can’t wait for that one!
We did a big circuit around the water and ended up back at the The Chequers Inn in Goldhanger for a nice cup of tea (honest!)
Here’s a peek at a few images from the shoot.
