High Rocks Wedding Photos | Fi and Mike
At the end of April I let Jim take a well earned day off and went off to shoot a lovely wedding at High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells with my good friend Diane Sargeant. Diane doesn’t shoot weddings very often these days but made an exception in this case for her friend Fi.
Diane and I joined Fi at her home in Wadhurst where she was getting ready with her two daughters who were also bridesmaids. The girls looked lovely in their navy blue dresses and Di took some beautiful portraits of them in the garden. We had a bit of giggle with Fi as she was getting ready as at one point her friend was completely under her dress like the back end of a pantomime horse trying to fasten the buckles on Fi’s shoes! We left Fi and her dad shortly before they were due to leave to travel to High Rocks.
Fi and Mike are a lovely couple and their ceremony was so emotional that I think they had all of their guests in tears at one point. After the main ceremony the couple said their own words to each other which was beautiful. Fi’s eldest daughter also gave a reading during the ceremony which certainly didn’t help with the tears!
The Bride and Groom Portraits
We thought we were going to get some really grotty weather which, according to my trusty weather app, was timed perfectly for the the bride and groom portrait shots. Instead, I’m pleased to say, the sun shone for us all day and so I no longer trust my trusty weather app!
I’m off to shoot another wedding this coming Saturday and Diane is off to Peru to walk the Inca trail in aid of the Walk the Walk Breast Cancer charity! I can’t wait to see the photo’s Di!
