I was so looking forward to photographing Sam and Tom’s wedding.  My overriding memory of their wedding was just how glamorous a bride Sam was, she was absolutely stunning!  We’d met for a drink and a chat before they booked but I was lucky enough to meet them again and get to know them a little more when I met them on the University of Kent campus in Canterbury for their engagement shoot.  It was a trip down memory lane for them and a lovely afternoon for me topped off by a gloriously sunny day!

On their wedding day they were both getting ready at the Hendon Hall Hotel and travelling to St Johns Church Stanmore for their ceremony in a Routemaster bus. Tom’s mum would be taking the ceremony and marrying them so it was going to be very special family affair.

The morning was relaxed and fun as the girls got ready with hair and make up.  We had a laugh with a bath full of (dressed) bridesmaids at one point!  Scroll down to read more.

The grand entrance to the hotel.

A bathtub of bridesmaids!

Sam’s beautiful dress came from Ghost London and I loved the simplicity and glamour of it.

Sam and her mum had made the bouquets themselves.

The guests and groom headed off to the church.

It was a delicate operation to get the dress on without disturbing Sam’s perfect hair.

Sam decided to give herself away and walked the aisle to her groom all on her own.

After some shots at the church we travelled back to the hotel with the couple and guests and took a few shots with the bus before it headed away.

Fun with the bridal party.

The reception was held in the Pembroke Suite.

What a fabulous day we had with Sam and Tom!
