It had been well over a year since we had first met Georgia and Joe so it was really lovely to see them again for their engagement shoot in April of this year.

The Location

They are getting married at the lovely St Paul’s Parish Church in Rusthall in early August followed by their reception at High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells so it was nice to hold their engagement session in the same Tunbridge Wells area.  On the day of the shoot they were visiting the church so between us we decided on Dunorlan Park for their shoot.  Dunorlan Park is a much loved park in the local area and boasts a 6 acre boating lake, large fountain and even a Grecian Temple, so basically a photographers delight!

The Couple

Georgia and Joe are such a relaxed couple and we found them to be very easy in front of the camera.   They soon got the hang of things and we had great fun wandering around the park getting to know each other a bit more.  I always love to hear all about the wedding plans when we meet couples for engagement shoots so there’s often a lot more to chat about than we have time for!  It was an unexpectedly warm day for April with lots of bright sunshine which was perfect and made for some beautiful shots of the couple.

The Park

We headed into the park and made lots of use of the gorgeous colourful shrubs as well as some of the lovely trees some of which have grown to create such amazing shapes.  Unfortunately the fountain wasn’t working when we got there but we still made use of the ornate centre piece in the shots and who could resist the reflections in the pool of water!  It was a lovely couple of hours and we’re really looking forward to their big day soon!

Here’s a few shots from their day.
